Moutaz Abdullat

Region Counsel at Ferrero

Moutaz Abdullat is head of legal at Ferrero. He looks after corporate governance, food law, intellectual property, data privacy and corporate commercial matters. Before joining Ferrero, he worked at Nestlé Middle East as region counsel, covering the Middle East and Northern Africa. Mr Abdullat obtained his LLB from Jordan and his master’s in international business law from Paris-Sorbonne University.

He has extensive experience in numerous fields and is specialised in civil law, criminal law and international business law. He gained early experience at Abu Ghazaleh Intellectual Property, the pioneering trademark agency and legal consultancy firm in the Middle East. He has been a legal consultant in Jordan, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah and was appointed as office manager in Dubai managing a legal department. His experience has enabled him to train law enforcement authorities, including police officers and custom officials, on the legal provisions regulating role of public officials. Mr Abdullat has commented on and assisted in drafting several laws throughout the Middle East. He is a board member of the Brand Protection Group and has participated in numerous legal seminars, conferences and events as a moderator and speaker.
