Mark Bearfoot

Senior Legal Director, IP and Brand Protection at Tommy Hilfiger Global & PVH Europe

Mark Bearfoot is senior legal director, IP and brand protection at Tommy Hilfiger Global and PVH Europe, where he leads their international team of legal counsel, paralegals and brand protection specialists. Mr Bearfoot is primarily responsible for developing and implementing the IP and anti-counterfeiting strategies, while also overseeing the day-to-day activities of his team.

Mr Bearfoot began his career in private practice working for a number of IP specialist law firms, including FieldFisher, Nucleus IP and Rouse. After eight years in private practice, he made the move in-house, joining The Coca-Cola Company in 2006 where he assisted in the management of their IP portfolio across Europe. He was also responsible for drafting and implementing the Coca-Cola ambush marketing strategy for the London 2012 Olympic Games.

In 2013, Mr Bearfoot joined the Harley-Davidson Motor Company, where he was responsible for leading their trademark enforcement and anti-counterfeiting programme across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In 2018 he was awarded European Intellectual Property Individual of the Year by the Association of Corporate Counsel. He was also one of just six industry leaders shortlisted for the 2018 Global Intellectual Property Individual of the Year.

Mr Bearfoot has also had the pleasure and privilege of being a member of the winning teams for the following WTR Industry Awards: 2020 Fashion, Cosmetics and Luxury Goods Team of the Year (Tommy Hilfiger); 2011 Food, Beverage and Tobacco Team of the Year (Coca-Cola); and  Europe, Middle East and Africa Team of the Year in 2011 (Coca-Cola) and 2018 (Harley-Davidson).
