Jennifer Ennis Bollen

Jennifer Ennis Bollen has 25 years’ experience in IP law. She joined Coates IP in June 2020, where she handles all aspects of global trademark protection including clearance and counselling, prosecution, enforcement and licensing. Ms Bollen has extensive experience counselling clients regarding domestic and global trademark and copyright issues; IP licences and transactions; advertising, marketing and promotions strategies; and internet and domain-name issues. She has also supported cross-group initiatives involving anti-piracy and anti-counterfeiting, fraud investigations and privacy issues.
She further developed expertise in domain name issues (global domain name registration strategy, domain name disputes, enforcement and ICANN policy) while at Microsoft Corporation and Expedia Inc, where she was employed for eight and seven years, respectively.
Ms Bollen is active in INTA and currently serves on INTA’s trademark administrators subcommittee and has previously served on the data protection and privacy committee, the New gTLD registry issues and metrics and domain disputes, ownership and WHOIS subcommitees of the internet committee, and the anti-counterfeiting committee. Ms Bollen has presented at numerous INTA and other industry forums.
Ms Bollen was awarded by the World Trademark Review World’s Leading Top 300 Corporate Trademark Professionals (2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020). In her spare time, she enjoys playing the guitar, hiking and spending time with her family.
