Aimee Zaleski has extensive experience as a trademark lawyer in both in-house and law firm roles with a significant background in the consumer products industry. She takes a practical approach to trademark clearance, prosecution and enforcement and is focused on managing risk while supporting client goals and helping achieve business objectives. She enjoys partnering with all business areas and roles, from brand managers to senior leaders, in the corporate environment and clients value her responsiveness and understanding of their needs.

Ms Zaleski is experienced in the management of medium to large-sized global trademark portfolios, and in her current role is responsible for clearance searching and brand development counselling, developing and executing trademark filing and brand protection strategies, management of brand enforcement and anti-counterfeiting activities, including trademark oppositions and infringement matters and counselling on proper trademark use and related strategies for protecting and building brand equity.

Ms Zaleski is particularly proud of her work in a prior role where she was the company’s first in-house trademark lawyer tasked with in-sourcing trademark matters previously handled by outside counsel. She built a trademark group within the legal department and improved operational efficiencies in portfolio management and brand development, protection and enforcement. She has a special interest in supporting corporate diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Ms Zaleski is a graduate of the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, with honours and before her law career had experience in the corporate communications field.
