Tomasz Koryzma is an attorney at law and a partner heading the 10 lawyer-strong IP practice at CMS Poland. Mr Koryzma also leads the CMS IP practice in Central Eastern Europe, overseeing seven local IP practices. He has been practising IP law at top-tier global law firms since 1998.
Mr Koryzma’s areas of expertise covers intellectual property, new technologies, as well as copyright and media law. With respect to intellectual property, his experience includes both contentious and non-contentious legal assistance. He specialises in strategic IP advisory and the enforcement of trademarks, patents, copyright and fair competition principles. He is helping clients with both domestic and regional IP disputes. He represents clients in pre-court settlement negotiations, in civil and penal proceedings, and coordinates IP rights customs protection programmes. Mr Koryzma also advises clients on developing and implementing brand protection strategies.
Since 2004 Mr Koryzma has been an active member of INTA and served on several INTA committees, including the EU Anti-counterfeiting Committee, the Parallel Import Committee and the Data Protection Committee. He is a current member of the Copyright Committee, where he contributes to various publications including the Criminal Copyright Enforcement Guide.
Mr Koryzma is regularly ranked as a leading specialist in the field of intellectual property by Chambers Global/Europe, Legal 500, Managing IP, Acritas and WTR 1000. He is praised by peers for his problem-solving approach, easy-to-work-with attitude and responsiveness.
