Timme Geerlof is a partner at Windt Le Grand Leeuwenburgh, specialising in IP law. He frequently reviews and lectures on IP law-related topics, including European trademark and design law, and copyright and trade name law.
Mr Geerlof is an experienced negotiator and litigator; he has drafted many types of commercial contract, including general terms and conditions, distribution and licence agreements, and national and international sales contracts. He was recognised as a leading Dutch trademark lawyer by Who’s Who Legal: Trademarks in 2017 and 2018. His current caseload includes acting for a Dutch logistics provider in a trademark case with potentially significant ramifications for that sector; representing a subsidiary of Europe’s second largest start-up in complex proceedings concerning use of an advertising phrase; and acting for a Danish company in a case of considerable importance discussing the free movement of goods between Eastern Europe and the European Union.
In addition, Mr Geerlof acts as a member of the management board of VIEPA, the association of Dutch attorneys specialised in IP matters. He is also a member of the supervisory board of Stichting Witte de With Centre for Contemporary Art, a contemporary art foundation in the heart of Rotterdam.
