Rodrigo Moreno Gutierrez is senior counsel in the IP practice of Moreno Baldivieso. Mr Moreno Gutierrez joined the firm in 2013 after studying and working in the United States, Spain, the United Kingdom and Hong Kong – an experience that brings a unique multicultural perspective to the firm. Mr Moreno Gutierrez has several years of experience in obtaining patents, trademarks and copyrights for a wide range of multinational clients with a focus on enhancing the value and protecting the commercial viability of his clients’ intellectual property.
As general director of the firm’s IP practice, Mr Moreno Gutierrez identifies the short-term strategies needed to achieve the long-term objectives established by the firm’s executive committee and partners. He communicates, both internally and externally, the firm's determination to maintain the highest possible professional standards in the performance of legal work, while keeping the balance between delivering value for clients and ensuring profitability for the firm. Mr Moreno Gutierrez is also responsible for the day-to-day management of all business matters in the IP area and oversees the financial affairs of the firm through the director of administration and finance.
Mr Moreno Gutierrez holds a BBA from Lynn University, a master's in international business and finance from London Business School and a master's in intellectual property from the Franklin Pierce Institute of Intellectual Property at the University of New Hampshire, where he was also the commencement speaker for his graduation ceremony. He has continued his education by attending courses at institutions such as INCAE Business School and Harvard Law School. His multidisciplinary experience provides him with an ideal toolset that helps him develop a local vision for an IP market driven by international clients in Bolivia.
