Partner at MMAKS Advocates
Moses Adriko is a partner of MMAKS Advocates and co-head of the firm’s litigation team. His practice focuses mainly on corporate and commercial law, civil litigation, IP law and international criminal law.
Mr Adriko is a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England of Wales and senior counsel, Uganda. He has acted as lead counsel in investigations, anti-counterfeiting, trademark infringement and passing off matters for an array of clients. He has delivered papers on intellectual property and has served as a resource person for the Uganda Law Society Intellectual Property Cluster. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and serves as board chair of Sanlam Insurance. He holds an LLB (hons) from the University of East Anglia and has a diploma in legal practice from the Law Development Centre.
Mr Adriko is a past president of the Uganda Law Society and has chaired the African Forum of the International Bar Association (IBA). He is a former council member on the IBA Human Rights Institute and non-executive director of Standard Chartered Bank (U) Limited.
Mr Adriko has served as a member of the Public Appeals and Procurement Authority Tribunal and of the Transactional Justice Issues Committee of the Government of Uganda. He is a certified adjudicator by the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration. He was also appointed to the List of Counsel of the International Criminal Court at The Hague.
