Mikkel Lassen Ellingsen is a vital part of Bryn Aarflot’s litigation and dispute resolution team and has broad experience in representing Norwegian and foreign clients of all shapes and sizes in litigation and contentious matters concerning trademarks, patents, designs, copyright and unfair competition. Mr Lassen Ellingsen thrives on finding commercial solutions to complex legal conflicts, but regularly argues matters before the Norwegian courts where no viable, amicable solutions are available to his clients.
In addition, Mr Lassen Ellingsen has extensive experience in strategic trademark counselling, developing and implementing trademark protection strategies, clearance searching, filing, prosecution and enforcement, as well as trademark oppositions and other administrative procedures. He handles national and international trademark portfolios for rights holders of all sizes and sectors, and advises clients on all aspects of trademark strategy and legislation.
Mr Lassen Ellingsen frequently holds lectures and seminars on a wide variety of IP-related topics for clients, educational institutions and others, and has written numerous articles for IP publications such as the World Trademark Review.
Mr Lassen Ellingsen holds a law degree from the University of Oslo (2015), specialising in trademark, patent and copyright law. He joined Bryn Aarflot’s legal department in 2015 and was made partner in 2020, after being admitted to the Norwegian Bar in 2018.
