Kristine Snyder joined Zacco in 2016 and is the head of the Norwegian legal team. She has considerable experience managing, protecting and enforcing trademarks, designs, patents and copyright. She also has extensive experience in the field of unfair competition. She identifies and manages intellectual property with the aim of realising and sustaining the competitive advantage that it provides.
Ms Snyder is part of the Zacco litigation team and is an accomplished litigator before both the lower and higher courts. She has successfully managed effective pre-trial, arbitration, mediation and trial strategies to oversee case handling and settlement negotiations for a variety of IP matters. She is a legal innovator who keeps pace with market trends driven by digitalisation, decentralised business models and the platform economy. As the role and value of intellectual property continue to develop rapidly, her visionary IP strategies consider emerging risks and opportunities for her clients.
Ms Snyder’s client list spans a broad spectrum of industrial sectors and she has worked actively to protect and enforce the IP rights of large companies both in Norway and internationally.
Ms Snyder received her law degree from the University of Oslo, with IP specialisation from New York University.
Ms Snyder has written several articles on various IP topics in industry periodicals such as the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property, World Trademark Review, Managing Intellectual Property and World Intellectual Property Review.
