Korcan Dericioğlu is a partner at Ankara Patent and has been leading its legal department since 2005. He is an attorney at law, a chartered Turkish patent and trademark attorney and a registered mediator. With a strong educational background, including a BA in law from Baskent University, a DEA in legal issues, crime and security of new technologies from the University of Lausanne and an LLM from the University of California, Berkeley, he has extensive comparative legal knowledge both in the United States and Europe, and has a global professional network. He also holds a CLP and a BA (econ), and is actively involved in policy matters regarding the valuation, commercialisation, taxation and licensing of intellectual property.

Mr Dericioğlu has a track record of Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy cases and vast expertise on trademarks and copyrights before courts. He represents Fortune 500 clients and is a solid IP strategy expert.

Mr Dericioğlu is a founding member of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property Turkey and the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys Turkey. He actively represents Ankara Patent and Turkey at both a national and international level.

Mr Dericioğlu is continuously involved in IP-based projects, publishes articles and gives speeches related to intellectual property and information technology. He has given lectures at universities and was an expert for the Ankara IP courts for several years.

Mr Dericioğlu is fluent in English and French.
