Korcan Dericioğlu is a partner at Ankara Patent and has been leading the firm’s legal department since 2005. He is an attorney at law, a chartered Turkish patent and trademark attorney and a registered mediator. With a strong educational background, including an LLB from Baskent University, an LLM in legal issues, crime and security of new technologies from the University of Lausanne and an LLM from the University of California, Berkeley, he has extensive comparative legal knowledge both in the United States and Europe, as well as a global professional network. He also holds a certificate in legal practice and a BA (econ), and is actively involved in policy matters regarding the valuation, commercialisation, taxation and licensing of intellectual property.

Mr Dericioğlu has handled numerous cases under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy and has vast experience handling trademark and copyright cases before the courts. He represents Fortune 500 clients and provides solid IP strategy expertise.

Mr Dericioğlu is a founding member of AIPPI Turkey and FICPI Turkey. He actively represents Ankara Patent and Turkey at both a national and international level.

Mr Dericioğlu also frequently writes articles and gives speeches on intellectual property and information technology. He has lectured at various universities on these subjects and was an expert for the Ankara IP courts for several years.

Mr Dericioğlu is fluent in English and French.
