Juan Carlos Amaro is an attorney at law (graduated cum laude in 2002), with a postgraduate degree in constitutional law from the Universidad Panamericana and a Certificate in International Legal English from Cambridge University (2006). Mr Amaro joined Becerril Coca & Becerril (BC&B) in 2004 and became a partner in 2010. With close to 20 years of experience, his practice focuses on intellectual property, administrative litigation, constitutional law and international trade.
Mr Amaro has been leading BC&B’s IP litigation group, trademark and copyright group, and corporate and commercial law group since 2010. He counsels clients on their IP and commercial global strategies, and has represented domestic and international clients in more than 500 litigation cases.
Mr Amaro has been invited to participate in several national and international forums on IP and administrative matters and has contributed to numerous domestic and foreign associations with opinions relating to the legal IP framework. He has also been invited by the Japan External Trade Organisation and the Japan Patent Attorneys Association to speak at various seminars in Tokyo and Osaka on the subject of the Mexican litigation practice.
