Jehan-Philippe Jacquey was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2005. He holds a post-graduate degree in IP law from the University of Strasbourg – Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) and a post-graduate degree in business law from the University of Burgundy. He joined Gilbey Legal in January 2010 and became a partner in 2016. Mr Jacquey had previously worked as in-house trademark counsel for a multinational food and beverages company and as an associate lawyer in an IP litigation boutique law firm.
Mr Jacquey’s practice focuses on soft IP litigation dealing primarily with trademarks, copyright, designs and unfair competition matters in all sectors, including the pharmaceuticals, tobacco, alcoholic beverages, internet, household cleaning supplies and fashion industries. He has also developed expertise in customs surveillance and enforcement, providing both domestic and international clients with strategic anti-counterfeiting solutions.
Mr Jacquey works within a closely knit and dynamic team with four lawyers, including his partner Joanne Quirin, and an experienced and professional prosecution and paralegal staff headed by Cécile Chabane.
Mr Jacquey is a former member of INTA’s Famous and Well-known Marks Committee and a current member of INTA’s Copyright Committee, the European Communities Trademark Association, the Association of Practitioners of Trademark and Design Law and the Association of CEIPI graduates.
