Jan Liu is the founding partner of LexField Law Offices. Ms Liu has practised IP law since 1988 and is widely recognised as one of China’s foremost trademark attorneys. She is recognised by highly respected global publications as China’s leading IP lawyer. She served with the CCPIT Patent and Trademark Law Office from 1988 to 2000. She joined King & Wood in January 2001 as partner. In July 2004 she founded the IP firm Jan Liu & Associates, specialising in trademark, unfair competition and copyright IP issues, which changed its name to LexField Law with the merger of an IP litigation team into the firm in 2009, led by leading Chinese IP litigation lawyer Hongyi Jiang.

Ms Liu has successfully represented many of the world’s leading corporations in various trademark portfolio management and contentious work, as well as unfair competition matters. She has successfully handled a large number of complicated trademark infringement cases, domain name disputes, internet infringement cases and various unfair competition cases. She has successfully represented several world-leading companies to have their trademarks officially recognised as famous trademarks, subsequently strengthening legal security for a wide range of goods and services. Ms Liu has also successfully represented many leading companies in stopping trademark infringements and unfair competition work.
