Ivana Bajić graduated from the Law University of Belgrade and passed the Bar exam before the Serbia Ministry of Justice, as well as the patent and trademark attorney exam before the Serbia Intellectual Property Office (IPO). She leads the trademark prosecution department at Živko Mijatović & Partners, which she joined nearly 10 years ago.
Ms Bajić is specialised in trademark prosecution matters in Serbia. She has extensive experience in providing legal assistance to both domestic and international clients with regard to all IP matters. As the manager of entire trademark portfolios with access to all relevant information, she can devise effective protection strategies for her clients and meet their business needs.
Ms Bajić’s practice covers oppositions, cancellation actions and advice on all aspects of effective trademark (and related IP rights) protection; consumer protection; clearances, including trademark and design searches; watch notices; contract drafting; and all contentious matters. Over the years, Ms Bajić has handled numerous cross-border issues, gaining knowledge and skills in handling IP matters in other jurisdictions, especially other Balkan countries.
Ms Bajić recently completed a specialised course for mediation and will join the roster of mediators of the IPO to handle IP disputes.
Ms Bajić spent much of her youth and teenage years in the United States and Spain and, as a result, speaks close to a native English and Spanish.
