Isabella Cardozo leads the trademark, licensing and commercial transaction teams at Daniel Law. She has special expertise in providing strategic legal advice that combines trademark and portfolio management with the monetisation of IP assets. Her multidisciplinary practice encompasses managing large portfolios in various market segments such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, fashion, and consumer goods, and developing corporate strategies for the development and protection of intellectual property. Ms Cardozo also leads a team that focuses on legal consultancy related to trademarks, as well as providing portfolio management for international clients in various market segments. She also handles judicial and extrajudicial cases related to trademark rights violations and crimes of unfair competition; due diligence related to trademark issues, including analysis of registrability of marks and planning of corporate strategies related to intellectual property; and active performance in the interests of national and international clients before the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office, such as the preparation of oppositions, administrative nullity procedures, appeals and replies. She is also involved in the development of the inclusion and diversity programme at the firm.
