Of Counsel at BomhardIP
Inmaculada González is an of counsel at BomhardIP. She has over 20 years’ experience in counselling, litigation and contractual law concerning IP rights, including trademarks, patents and copyright. She also has extensive experience in advising Spanish and international companies on unfair competition law, as well as on data protection and IP issues arising in the context of new technologies.
Ms González holds a JD from the University of Barcelona and an LLM from the University of Munich. During her three-year stay in Munich at the Max Planck Institute, she worked both as a PhD candidate and as a researcher at the European Patent Organisation in Munich, acquiring a strong background in Spanish and German patent law, as well as in Community design law.
In addition to numerous articles in IP journals, Ms González has authored a book on the protection of utility models in the European Union. She teaches in numerous graduate and specialised courses, including the master’s in information technology, social networks and intellectual property at ESADE (Ramón Llull University, Barcelona) and the master’s in intellectual property Magister Lvcentinus at Alicante University.
Ms González is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences and an active member of the European Intellectual Property Teacher’s Network. She is also a member of INTA, the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property and the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property. In addition to Spanish, Ms González speaks fluent English and German.
