Frederik Jocqué

Trademark and Design Attorney at Novagraaf

As a Benelux and European trademark and design attorney, Frederik Jocqué has an extensive and profound knowledge of the different aspects of intellectual property, and in particular of trademark and design law. Through his experience with medium and large-sized enterprises, Mr Jocqué has gained expertise in providing strategic and substantive advice on the protection, management and optimisation of IP portfolios. He specialises, in particular, in trademark filing strategies, negotiations and drafting agreements, and advises both product and service-based businesses, as well as companies with B2B and B2C focuses, in a wide range of sectors.

Mr Jocqué obtained a master’s in law from the University of Leuven, followed by an LLM in intellectual property from the University of Manchester. Having gained more than two years’ experience as a trademark and design attorney in private practice, he joined Novagraaf in early 2014.

Mr Jocqué is the main contact for two major clients in the Belgium office, undertaking filing and defence work and coordinating their IP portfolios globally. He is also head of the Ghent office. He speaks Dutch, English and French.
