Partner at Kasznar Leonardos
Flávia Tremura Polli Rodrigues is the coordinator of Kasznar Leonardos’s Sao Paulo office, where she was recently appointed partner. She holds a law degree from the University of Sao Paulo, where she also received a master’s in procedural law.
Author of several articles and book chapters on IP matters, Ms Tremura Polli Rodrigues obtained certificates for programmes related to the protection of IP rights and the management of industrial property assets promoted by different institutions, such as the Japanese Patent Office, the Korean Patent Office and WIPO.
In particular, at WIPO she studied the procedures regarding the Madrid Protocol, recently implemented in Brazil. She now gives lectures on the matter in Brazil to directors of Brazilian companies who want to better understand the importance and strategy of the protocol; she has also been invited by WIPO to give lectures on this subject to directors of trademark offices across Latin America.
Besides rendering counselling services on general trademark matters, Ms Tremura Polli Rodrigues is also skilled in the analysis of medicinal trademarks and the interface between the registration systems of the Brazilian Trademark Office and the Brazilian Surveillance Agency.
With a profound understanding on the Brazilian practices, Ms Tremura Polli Rodrigues is an expert in managing large trademark portfolios and customising clients’ experience with trademark matters, providing them with a critical view on the general scenario and helping them to optimise the portfolio based on their strategic planning for their activities in Brazil and abroad.
Ms Tremura Polli Rodrigues is a specialist of the Chamber of Resolution of Disputes related to Domain Names of the Brazilian Association of Intellectual Property (ABPI). She is also a member of the Brazilian Bar Association, the ABPI, the European Communities Trademark Association and the Inter-American Association of Intellectual Property.
She speaks Portuguese and English.
