Trademark & Patent Attorney at Zivko Mijatovic & Partners
Dragana Lehocki has more than 12 years’ experience in the IP field, including prosecution, enforcement and litigation matters. Her flexibility and in-depth knowledge of trademark law in Western Balkan countries (mainly member candidates of the European Union) provide clients with additional tools to enforce their IP rights. Ms Lehocki collaborates with other Zivko Mijatovic & Partners (ZMP) offices across the Western Balkans countries, giving her a multi-country view, enabling her to resolve complex IP cases.
Ms Lehocki has completed a two-semester postgraduate course in EU law, which was offered jointly by the faculty of law at the University of Belgrade and the European University Centre of Nancy in France. The course was an intensive study on the harmonisation of the Western Balkans’ laws with EU law. Ms Lehocki lends her unique perspective and knowledge gained from this course to many ZMP offices when issues arise with local authorities and local laws that are not yet harmonised with EU law and concepts. Authorities in the Balkans often react favourably to receiving help in understanding how similar situations are handled in the European Union. This has often proved a very useful tool for ZMP on behalf of its clients. Ms Lehocki is fluent in English and speaks some German.
