Demian Stauber is an attorney at law in the fields of IP and IT law. His practice focuses primarily on contract drafting, litigation and transactions in these areas. He is also experienced in unfair competition and general contract law.
Mr Stauber holds an MA from the University of Zurich (2003) and a PhD from the University of Bern (2008), both summa cum laude. He earned his LLM in trade regulation from New York University as a Hauser global scholar (2009).
Before joining Rentsch Partner Ltd, Mr Stauber worked as a junior associate at a large Swiss firm (2004), a law clerk at the Commercial Court of Argovia (2005-2008) and an attorney with the IP and IT team of another Swiss firm (2009-2013). He is also a lecturer on the Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies (CEIPI) basic training courses in European patent law, which are jointly prepared by the European Patent Institute and CEIPI. As co-head of Rentsch Partner’s expert group for cryptography, blockchain and fintech, Mr Stauber advises Swiss and international clients on strategy, in court and before arbitral tribunals. He has published various articles and contributions on topics relating to his practice areas, in particular in the fields of procedural law and patent litigation.
