Christian Hufnagel is a partner in the trademark and design department of Vossius & Partner. He advises national and international clients on all fields of IP law. His core areas of practice include trademarks and design patents, domain names and unfair competition law.
Mr Hufnagel has strong expertise in the judicial and extrajudicial enforcement of IP rights, including claims for passing off. He regularly handles IP litigation matters and represents clients in court before specialised trademark, design and unfair competition chambers. In addition, Mr Hufnagel has extensive experience in advising clients from various industry sectors on trademark and design prosecution matters and in handling corresponding IP portfolios, including providing strategic advice and developing individual filing strategies. Mr Hufnagel also regularly represents clients in trademark and design proceedings before the German Patent and Trademark Office and the EU Intellectual Property Office.
Mr Hufnagel studied law at the Universities of Passau and Munich. He earned an LLM from Cornell University, where he studied as a scholar of the German Academic Exchange Service. Mr Hufnagel is admitted as a German Rechtsanwalt and as a US attorney at law (New York). He frequently lectures on trademark, design and unfair competition law.
