Head of Intellectual Property at CMS Russia
Anton Bankovskiy is a partner and the head of intellectual property at CMS Russia. Prior to joining the firm in 2012, he had been working at other international law firms.
Mr Bankovskiy has extensive experience in advising clients on all aspects of intellectual property, as well as media and advertising matters – including unfair competition.
He also specialises in IP dispute resolution. He is admitted to represent clients before the Russian Patent and Trademark Office (Rospatent), the Chamber for Patent and Trademark Disputes under Rospatent and the Russian courts. Mr Bankovskiy’s clients stem from varied industries, including consumer products, technology, media and telecommunications, energy and life sciences.
Mr Bankovskiy also advises clients on data protection issues, such as cross-border transfer, localisation rules and compliance of data processing with Russian regulations.
Mr Bankovskiy is a member of INTA, chair of the IP Committee of the Association of European Businesses in Russia, as well as a member of the IP Committee of the Russian-French Chamber of Commerce. He is also a member of the working group in the field of intellectual property on the implementation of the mechanism of ‘regulatory guillotine’ under the Russian government.
