Mexico: Declarations of Use, How to Avoid Losing Trademark Rights

Declarations of use were introduced as an effective legislative initiative to clear up trademark registrations that were not being used and blocking registration of new marks. However, the lack of harmonisation between Mexican law and the Madrid Protocol puts international trademark holders at risk of losing their rights.
