For more than three decades, Alain Cléry has enjoyed an elevated standing on the French IP market. In 1987 he established his own firm, Cléry Devernay, at which he adeptly undertakes a slew of trademark work alongside fellow namesake Coralie Devernay. With the help of a growing team of dynamic associates and paralegals, the pair – who are both accredited as IP specialists by the French bar – regularly impress before the courts, as well as offering prosecution advice to some of the world’s biggest brand owners. Together they have recently acted in a trademark and unfair competition dispute on behalf of Mars Wrigley Confectionery; while Devernay has elsewhere been busy with a series of tough oppositions on behalf of sports retailer Decathlon.
