Bronze - Firms: enforcement and litigation
Bronze - Firms: prosecution and strategy
Founded in 1998, IP boutique IntellecPro was one of the earliest law firms to dedicate its IP services to international clientele looking to expand their business in China. Its small-but-prestigious group of practitioners offers a full trademark service that is considered “clear, comprehensive, and client-orientated”. First among equals is Qi Hu, who has practised in the IP field since 1985 and now primarily develops trademark protection strategies for brand owners across the globe. Combining her IP dispute resolution skills with insightful legal strategic thinking, partner Tian-ying Zhao “is a great asset for IntellecPro – having worked with many major international brands, she is incredibly experienced and knowledgeable.”
Founded in 1998, IntellecPro is an IP boutique firm with its head office in Beijing and branch offices in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Tokyo. As one of the earliest trademark and patent firms in China serving foreign clients, the firm is dedicated to excellence in IP law, in the fields of patents, trademarks, copyright, trade secrets and unfair competition. IntellecPro actively engages in the prosecution, enforcement and litigation of IP rights in China.
IntellecPro has over 200 staff, nearly half of them based in Beijing. Led by senior professionals with 10 years' experience on average, our team has a profound knowledge of the IP legal framework and practices in China and thus can provide clients with effective solutions to their problems. Our professionals think in business terms and are committed to providing cost-effective services that are tailored to our clients’ business needs and aimed at making their IP rights work. Our culture is characterised by teamwork and a commitment to excellence in everything we do.
Two of our partners (Qi Hu and Tian-ying Zhao) have been listed in the World Trademark Review 1000: The World's Leading Trademark Professionals.
IntellecPro's trademark team assists clients with designing brand names and logos, devising brand-building strategies and implementing them. It particularly excels at handling oppositions and invalidations against trademark pirates before administrative and judicial authorities.
IntellecPro's patent team helps clients create and implement patent strategies. Historically strong in the field of chemistry, its expertise in electronics and telecommunication has grown rapidly in recent years.
IntellecPro's enforcement and litigation team specialises in combatting the growingly sophisticated IP infringers in China. Its strength lies in handling disputes involving conflicts among different types of rights and defending clients in legal actions lodged by trademark trolls.
