She is assisted by Jason Wang, who has been with the outfit since 2004. Firm Profile

Beijing East IP Ltd and Beijing East IP Law Firm (collectively, East IP) were founded in Beijing by Lulin Gao, one of the founders of the modern Chinese IP legal system. Dr Gao worked as commissioner of the Chinese Patent Office from 1987 to 1998. He was responsible for the establishment of the State Intellectual Property Office and served as its first commissioner. From 1998 to 2000, he was a senior adviser to WIPO in Geneva. He is still active in the IP community and currently serves as honorary president of the All-China Patent Agents Association, adviser to the International Intellectual Property Institute, vice chair of the China Internet Society, senior counsel of the China Internet Network Information Centre and arbitrator with the Asian Domain Name Dispute Resolution Centre and the Domain Name Dispute of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission. Dr Gao’s experience and insights into intellectual property are the cornerstone of East IP’s development.

On the occasion of World Intellectual Property Day 2021, one of East IP's cases was selected among the Top 10 Typical Cases of Trademark Administrative Protection in 2020 by the China National Intellectual Property Administration. East IP was widely recognised by clients for its professional skills, meticulous planning, quick response and professionalism in this administrative law enforcement case. This case started as a local raid in Zhangjiagang City and later developed into the Iron Fist Campaign led by the Law Enforcement Inspection Bureau of the State Administration for Market Regulation. In total 25 targets were raided with a seizure of infringing products worth more than Rmb10 million. Among those targets, nine were transferred to the relevant public security bureau for pursuing criminal liability.
