The Romanian IP scene continues to flourish, despite the broader global challenges the country has faced in the past 12 months. Tighter budgets have allowed boutiques to have the lion’s share of the work, due to their lower costs, but many large full-service firms remain present on the market. The luxury goods and pharmaceutical industries have been particularly busy, and there has also been a notable increase in the number of Class 9 applications being made at the Romanian State Office for Inventions and Trademarks (OSIM). The economy is set to grow again in the next year and, as a result, more IP work is expected to be heading to the outfits on this list.
