The import and sale of counterfeit goods in Venezuela represents a significant problem for rights holders. In recent years, the authorities have shown signs of concern, and have implemented provisions and mechanisms in order to combat this issue; however, their efforts have been insufficient due to the global increase in counterfeit trafficking and the diverse sale and distribution channels adopted by the parties involved in such illicit activity.
