The IP Rights Enforcement Directive was implemented by Law 19/2006, which broadened the scope of protection of IP rights. Under this law, a rights holder may now request the seizure or destruction of material and equipment used to design or manufacture infringing goods, and may claim ownership of the infringing goods and the seized materials and equipment.
