At a national level, the following laws provide remedies and actions for the protection of IP rights: the Trademarks Law (17/2001), the Patent Law (11/1986), the Design Law (20/2003), the Copyright Royal Decree Law (1/1996), the Unfair Competition Law (3/1991), the Procedural Law (1/2000), and the Criminal Code (Articles 273-277) and the Criminal Procedural Law, which both set out criminal measures in connection with IP infringements.
