There is a very strong focus on intellectual property in Thailand. In January 2017 the Department of Intellectual Property unveiled a 20-year IP roadmap for the country and Thailand joined the Madrid Protocol in November 2017. IP securitisation has been possible in Thailand since 2016 and the country was removed from the US Priority Watch List for IP protection.
