Todd Braverman is the leader of Pearl Cohen's US Trademark Group. He has over 28 years' experience in all aspects of domestic and international trademark law, including trademark clearance and registration, litigation, enforcement, settlement and consent agreements, licensing, transfers and M&A transactional matters.
While he was a US trademark examining attorney and subsequently in private practice, Mr Braverman has conducted thousands of trademark clearance searches and successfully prosecuted thousands of trademark applications before the US Patent and Trademark Office.
He has handled numerous trademark oppositions and cancellations and has negotiated trademark coexistence and consent agreements on behalf of his clients. In addition, Mr Braverman advises clients on a variety of IP matters, including copyright, licensing, sweepstakes compliance and comparative advertising issues.
Mr Braverman currently represents and has represented Fortune 500 companies, start-ups, and entrepreneurs in a wide variety of industries, including retail and online services, computer technology, consumer products and musical instruments.
Mr Braverman takes a practical approach to advising his clients, always ensuring that deals are completed as quickly and efficiently as possible. His many years of experience uniquely position him to creatively develop solutions that achieve his clients' business goals.
He received a BA in history from the State University of New York, Binghamton and a JD from Brooklyn Law School. He is admitted to practise in New York.
