Sabrina Fumagalli has over 30 years’ experience in the industrial property field, particularly with regards to trademarks. She is involved in the preparation of transfer of technology rights agreements (assignments, M&A, licensing) and in the settlement of litigation cases. She daily handles legal opinions to assist the lawyer in charge before the competent court in connection with trademark, patent, design, unfair competition and copyright matters. In particular, her practice focuses on all aspects relating to distinctive signs, including the preparation, filing and renewal of EU, Italian, international and foreign trademarks, especially in China and other Asian countries. She also provides specific opinions on trademark registrability, personally performing prior novelty searches. Furthermore, she takes care of the protection of distinctive signs by means of opposition procedures and extrajudicial litigation before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (IPTO) and the EUIPO.
Ms Fumagalli is an attorney at law and a qualified trademark attorney before the IPTO, the EUIPO and WIPO.
She is a member of leading IP industry associations such as INTA, the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property and the Asian Patent Attorneys Association.
She is also a frequent attendee and moderator at conferences and round tables organised for clients and foreign colleagues.
