Senior Partner at A Zalesov & Partners Patent & Law Firm LLC
Irina Ozolina is a senior partner of A Zalesov & Partners Patent & Law Firm. Her practice has been focusing on IP litigation since 2003.
Ms Ozolina represents clients (both as plaintiffs and defendants) in a large variety of court and administrative IP disputes in patent, trademark and copyright enforcement matters and patent and trademark invalidation cases. She also acts as litigation counsel to parties in proceedings before the Federal Antimonopoly Service (and further appeal to the court) in unfair competition disputes, including trademark and patent rights abuse disputes. Representing clients before the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation (Senate for Economic Disputes) also forms a part of her professional experience. She has been supporting major foreign clients in forming and bringing to life their IP enforcement strategies in Russia for many years.
An expert ligitator, Ms Ozolina is also responsible for supervising and developing the firm’s trademark litigation and prosecution practice. As such, she handles and leads the most important trademark prosecution and litigation cases for the firm, and is responsible for devising trademark prosecution and enforcement strategies for key clients.
Her excellent analytical abilities and communication skills are two of the key factors that help her present her clients’ position clearly and effectively before the courts. She approaches all her clients’ issues with the same high level of attention and dedication, which fosters further trust in her capacity to tailor solutions and provide unabated support – whatever the challenge.
Ms Ozolina frequently contributes to Russian and foreign IP law publications. She took part in the preparation of a monograph for the Austrian Chamber for Commerce and Industry regarding IP protection in the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa). She also routinely speaks at national IP events, and has vast experience in running educational seminars for Russian science and industry on IP matters.
