Fabrizio Miazzetto graduated from the Law School of La Sapienza University in Rome and from the University of Alicante. In 2001 he completed a master’s in intellectual property and information technology at the University of Alicante (Magister Lvcentinvs). He also holds a diploma as an aeronautical expert.
Mr Miazzetto is a qualified attorney at law, a qualified Spanish patent and trademark attorney and an EU-qualified trademark and design attorney. He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association and the Spanish Bar of Patent and Trademark Attorneys.
Since 1999 and before founding FJF Legal, Mr Miazzetto practised law in well-known Spanish, Italian and German law firms. His primary practice is focused on counseling and litigation in IP matters, including trademark, patent and design infringements, as well as the prosecution of trademarks and designs. On behalf of his clients, he has acted as counsel and litigator in several complex and multinational IP infringement cases in relation to different technical areas and industry sectors. He is also active in unfair competition, copyrights and image rights-related matters and licensing and related contractual issues. As a qualified trademark attorney, he manages large clients’ trademark portfolios worldwide in a variety of industry sectors.
Mr Miazzetto has authored or co-authored several books and articles on intellectual property and is a senior editor of the Trademark Reporter. He is a professor at the School of Industrial Organisation, where he teaches intellectual property in a master’s course on innovation. He has lectured for the Magister Lvcentinvs at the University of Alicante and is often invited to speak at national and international conferences and seminars. He is also a committee fellow of several IP organisations, including the International Trademark Association and the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property.
He is fluent in Spanish, English and Italian.
