Armando Pinto has been the chief operations officer and a partner of Dumont Bergman Bider & Co, SC since 2008. He is responsible for the legal coordination of the firm. Mr Pinto has more than 20 years’ experience as a legal attorney. He is the manager of his own law firm, Pinto, Medina Abogados, SC, and has been a partner at Quijano, Cortina, López y de la Torre; Ramírez Ornelas Abogados; García Fenández y Pinto, SC; and Pinto, Ruanova, Becker y Collada.
Mr Pinto holds a law degree from the Universidad Intercontinental. He has specialisations in international commercial arbitration from the Escuela Libre de Derecho; in constitutional remedies from the Federal Supreme Court of Justice and the Universidad Iberoamericana; in corporate law, civil law, constitutional law, commercial law and intellectual property from the Universidad Panamericana; and in contracts from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. He also completed the TOP Management course at the Pan-American Institute of Top Management.
Mr Pinto has taught procedural civil law and has written diverse articles. He has been an active member of the Mexican Bar since 1993. He is also an active member of the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity, the Mexican chapter of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property, the International Trademark Association and the Inter-American Association for Intellectual Property. He is also counsel of the National Association of Business Lawyers.
Mr Pinto is a professor of procedural law at the Universidad Intercontinental and Universidad La Salle. He has been a consultant attorney and legal adviser for diverse institutions and international companies.
Mr Pinto was the lawyer in one of Mexico’s most famous cases of national importance: Paulette’s.
Mr Pinto is fluent in Spanish and English.
