Aaron D Hurvitz obtained his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Arizona in 2003 and his JD from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2007. He also received his LLM in international business and trade law from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago in 2008.
Mr Hurvitz started his IP experience when he was hired as the sole law clerk on an antitrust and illegal patent tying case that was ultimately heard before the US Supreme Court. He then drafted technology transfer agreements and worked on enforcement matters for an international law firm in Beijing.
At Kangxin, Mr Hurvitz advises the firm’s US, European, Indian and Australian clients on different aspects of Chinese IP law. He specifically focuses on how best to introduce technology into China and deals heavily with advising Kangxin’s clients on how best to effectuate positive enforcement of their IP rights.
Mr Hurvitz travels frequently, lecturing and speaking at conferences about infringement and enforcement measures in China. He is regularly recognised for his contributions to intellectual property by leading industry publications. Most recently, this includes being named as a Rising Star by Asialaw’s Leading Lawyers, a Legal Expert in China for intellectual property by Asialaw Profiles, a Leading Lawyer in Licensing and Franchising by Asia IP and a Leading Individual in enforcement and litigation by the WTR 1000.
