He originally trained and worked as a doctor for a number of years, both in the NHS and abroad, predominantly in the fields of acute medicine and intensive care. After cross-qualifying into law, he worked as a lawyer at a leading national law firm, specialising in corporate and commercial work with a focus on the health sector. Since then he has established a health clinic and health consultancy business and remains active in both.
