World Trademark Review is pleased to announce that Managing the Trademark Asset Lifecycle, our unique forum for trademark professionals to share best practice and cutting-edge strategies for maximising the value that resides in brands, is coming to Europe in 2017.
Last month, World Trademark Review hosted the second annual Managing the Trademark Asset Lifecycle event in New York (a report of some of the discussion points is available here). The interactive conference again provided trademark owners, counsel, brand strategists and financial professionals with the opportunity to take a deep dive into strategies for managing and maximising the effectiveness of trademarks as a business asset, spanning the lifecycle from the creation and ownership of rights, through to monetisation and the maximisation of value. At a time when corporate trademark budgets continue to be squeezed, it also explored how to position trademark departments as revenue generators rather than cost centres.
Building on the success of the US events, we are now bringing Managing the Trademark Asset Lifecycle to Munich on March 23 2017. The event will offer practitioners the opportunity to join a diverse audience of in-house and private practice professionals, as well as brand strategists and consultants, to obtain a 360 degree view of the potential that resides in trademarks, and how best to exploit it. Sessions include:
- Friend or foe? The marketing perspective on trademarks and counsel
- Spreading the message: fostering a cross-enterprise understanding of trademarks
- The 360-degree view of brand portfolio building
- More than a number: the practical payback of brand valuation
- The financial management of brands: how trademark counsel can add value
- The revenue generation game: monetising brands in the marketplace
The full programme is available here, and we will shortly be revealing the first names confirmed to our speaking faculty.
