Yvie François graduated with honours from the Madre y Maestra Pontifical Catholic University (PUCMM). She holds an LLM in intellectual property and new technologies from the University of Madrid, and in business legal advice from Carlos III University of Madrid

Yvie has extensive experience in practising in the area of intellectual property, with a focus on advising in relation to trademark infringements both in the Dominican Republic and at a regional level throughout the Caribbean. She also regularly manages contentious administrative litigations before Dominican courts and before the Dominican Patent and Trademark Office, including objections, oppositions and cancellations, among other legal actions. Yvie is also an expert in the management of patent portfolios in the Dominican Republic and at a regional level throughout the Caribbean.
