Xiao Wang

Xiao Wang is an attorney at Liu, Shen & Associates, specialising in patent invalidation and infringement cases. He was a previously an examiner with the Patent Re-examination Board of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) for six years. He has extensive experience in handling patent invalidation and administrative litigation, representing the CNIPA before the court in more than 600 cases. The technical fields of the cases included mechanical, software, wireless communication, micro-electromechanic systems, electrochemistry and medical instruments. Mr Wang was responsible for analysing the judicial opinions and preparing the annually meetings between the Patent Re-examination Board, the Supreme Court and the Beijing IP Court. Mr Wang has a deep understanding of the practice of both the Patent Re-examination Board and the courts.
