Urko Ochoa heads the intellectual property (IP) practice of the firm and assists clients in all areas of IP law at a regional level, with a particular focus on trademark and patent protection, enforcement and commercialisation, transaction agreements and litigation in the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean region.

Urko has had an active career at the International Trademark Association (INTA), which led him to be elected as chair of its famous and well-known marks committee (2020–2022) and is currently a member of the Latin American Council
