Tao Chen

Tao Chen is a partner with Linda Liu Intellectual Property and the vice manager of Division II of the electrical engineering department. After graduating with an MS in optical engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, he worked as a patent examiner for the China National Intellectual Property Administration’s Beijing Patent Examination Cooperation Centre for four years. This work experience gave him a deeper understanding of examination procedure, which has enabled him to advise foreign companies on how to get better grants.

Mr Chen joined Linda Liu IP in 2012. He prepares new applications and prosecutes for leading companies in his field, such as Canon, Panasonic and Drake. He is also experienced in postgrant proceedings.
