Sean joined Davies Collison Cave's Sydney Trademarks team in 2022. Before joining DCC, for around 20 years, Sean was the Head of Trademarks at another long-established firm of patent and trademark attorneys. He has worked as a trademarks practitioner, in both Australia and the UK, for over 30 years.
Sean’s practice encompasses all aspects of trademarks law.
He has extensive experience in handling trademark oppositions and disputes, as well as trademark clearance searches and overcoming objections to registration.
Sean has worked with a wide range of multi-national businesses, assisting them with disputes, providing strategic advice for managing and protecting brand portfolios, and handling their prosecution work. He has also assisted many smaller businesses.
WTR 1000, 2020 recognised Sean as “a prodigious brand strategist and a dab hand at oppositions and IP disputes”.
Sean is skilled in all aspects of trademarks work and is highly respected by his clients and peers.
