Octavio Espejo is a mechanical electrical engineer and attorney at law. He joined Becerril, Coca & Becerril in 2005. As partner, he heads the Guadalajara office and manages the maintenance of IP rights, central docketing and translation, while focusing his practice on industrial designs, patents and trademarks. Mr Espejo is chair of the ICT committee for the Mexican Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI). He is the author of the Mexican contribution to Design Rights – Functionality and Scope of Protection (published by AIPPI) and has been a speaker on industrial design protection in Mexico for Licensing Executives Society, American Intellectual Property Law Association and AIPPI conferences.
