Micah Ogilvie is head of legal at Safenames Limited and represents the company as part of the Registrar Stakeholders Group at ICANN. As a domain management and brand protection expert, Mr Ogilvie advises on online brand protection with an emphasis on online counterfeiting, internet policy, domain portfolio management, acquisitions, domain name dispute resolution, gTLD/ccTLD registration procedures, sunrise periods and other rights protection mechanisms.

In dispute resolution, he has represented global brands and smaller e-commerce businesses (complainant and respondent) in more than 150 disputes through various international arbitration bodies, including WIPO, the Czech Arbitration Court and the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre. Mr Ogilvie also serves as an independent adjudicator on the panel of experts for Nominet (the ‘.uk’ registry).
