María del Mar Pimentel M joined Bufete Candanedo in 1994 as a paralegal and heads the IP litigation department. She obtained her law degree from the University of Panama in 1998 and was admitted to practise law in Panama the same year. Ms Pimentel obtained an LLM in trademarks, patents, designs and copyright from the University of Alicante, Spain in 1999 and a postgraduate diploma in information law from the University of Salamanca, Spain in 2001. She deals with all IP matters and her areas of practice include opposition and cancellation proceedings.
