Maria Del Carmen Arana Courrejolles is an attorney at law and a legal adviser at Estudio Colmenares & Asociados. She holds a master’s in economic international law. Since 1987 she has been a professor at the Catholic University of Peru, teaching courses in industrial property, patent and intellectual property and biodiversity. She is also a professor at the Piura University and has spoken at various events around the world.
She has published several articles in national and international magazines, such as “Identifying Relationship between Industrial Property and Biodiversity: The Peruvian Case” (Journal of Japanese Group, International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property, Vol 58 No 4 2013) and “Protecting well-known trade marks against dilution” (Managing Intellectual Property 2014).
