Gordana M Popovic obtained an MA from the faculty of philology, University of Belgrade in 1956 and an LLB from the faculty of law, University of Belgrade in 1964. From 1961 to 1966, she worked at the Institute of Social Sciences and was admitted to the bar in 1966. She is a partner at Popovic, Popovic & Partners.

Ms Popovic is the founder and an honorary member of the International Association of Young Lawyers, as well as a member of the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys and the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property. Her practice area is intellectual property, and she is fluent in English and French.
